Sirsi: Police arrests rapist of a mentally ill woman within 24 hours

Sirsi 27 January 2019: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Sirsi police successfully arrested a man who allegedly raped a mentally unstable woman here at Nerlavalli village of Sirsi taluk. The detained has been identified as Vijaykumar Nagappa Katti (32), a resident of Haveri. According to the sources, Vijaykumar on Friday, January 25 lured a mentally unstable woman for work at an isolated location and raped her there. The police however working on the evidences, caught hold of the accused on Saturday January 26. A case has been registered at Sirsi rural police station, and further investigations are underway.
