SIO holds protest against media for dragging Bhatkal name in recent Hyderabad blasts

Bhatkal – Student Islamic Organization of India (SIO) Bhatkal unit today held protest outside Assistant Commissioner’s office against the media for linking Bhatkal town with the recent Hyderabad blasts.
On this occasion SIO demanded legal action against media for defaming image of Bhatkal town through their biased reporting and submitted memorandum to Chief Minister through Assistant Commissioner of Bhatkal, Mr VRP Manohar.
Speaking on this occasion, SIO President Moulvi Ziyauddin Ruknuddin expressed disappointment over trial by media and for trying to target particular community without any evidence. He said that this kind of biased reporting will encourage real culprits and they feel safe to do such crimes. He said, instead of supporting investigation agencies, media go ahead and issue its verdict through media trial and blame particular community without any evidence. He said, media being fourth pillar of democracy, should have assisted investigation agencies through their neutral and unbiased reporting but they are not doing their duties honestly. He said, when any blast occurs in the country media immediately link this with Bhatkal town which is unfair and dangerous.
On this occasion Amir JIH Bhatkal unit – Mr Qadir Meeran Patel, Mr Ashraf Barmawar, Moulvi Syed Zubair Market, Mr Yunus Ruknuddin, Master Farooq, Mr Syed Qutub and others were present.
