Simmtronics Launches Solar-Powered PC

New Delhi - 21 July 2011: Simmtronics Semiconductors has announced its solar-powered desktop computers, which it claims as a world first.

Apart from running on solar energy, the PC reportedly consumes less power, thereby reducing its carbon footprint. Moreover, the company promises that its product can work for three to four days without sunlight. This might prove useful at places where electricity is scarce.

The desktop PC is priced at Rs 29,999 and is available through authorized channel partners.
