Siblings killed on the spot in a heart-wrenching accident at Murdeshwar; two kids serious

Bhatkal 13 February 2019:(Bhatkallys News Bureau) Hours later the accident on NH-66 near Telephone exchange office of Bhatkal,that killed one person aged 78, after being hit by a crane. Another accident was reported from the Taluka, wherein a brother and a sister died while the two toddlers are reported to be critically injured in the accident that took place near Bailur of Murdeshwar on Wednesday afternoon. The deceased have been identified as Mohammed Kaif(19) and his sister Afreen(28) resident of Manki, who were currently residing in Bhatkal. As per sources, when Kaif along with his sister and two kids was heading towards Bhatkal from Manki, A local tempo which came from the opposite direction rammed into their vehicle. Owing critical head injuries Kaif and Afreen died on the spot. While two kids who also sustained head and leg injuries were rushed to nearest hospital for first aid and later taken to Manipal hospital for further treatment. Mohammed Kaif is reported to be a Second year student of BBA at Anjuman Institution of Management and Computer Application, Bhatkal. While Afreen, reportedly was a housewife. However, the two kids are reported to be critical and are currently undergoing treatement at Manipal Hospital. The bodies of deceased were later taken to Manki Government hospital for post-mortem. A case has been registered at Murdeshwar police station. As the rumors of death of the kids are being circulated on local WhatsApp groups, the family of the victims rubbished the fake news and requested not to forward such messages. (Bhatkallys News Bureau)
