5 Dec 2013 | Press Release | Bhatkallys News BEd Sent By: SHREE JNANESHWARI COLLEGE OF EDUCATION (B.Ed), SAGAR ROAD, BHATKAL The Govt. of Karnataka has revised the existing circular in connection with the Admission of B.Ed Course. As per this circular “Any Graduate” is eligible to take admission to B.Ed Course. This is a historical decision taken by the present government and we welcome it whole heartedly. Really the Higher Education Minister and Government of Karnataka deserve all appreciation. On this happy occasion, we extend warm congratulations to Govt. of Karnataka. On account of this it is learnt that there is huge demand for B.Ed Admission to Government as well as Management Quota. In addition to this the government has made special provisions for admissions to B.Ed course under Government Quota with salary, for those lecturers working at the government Institutions. This is also a good decision. But no provision has been made for lecturers working at private institutions. They are large in number and equally competitive and deserving. In this regard, the Government of Karnataka should have extended similar kind gesture for the lecturers of this category. More over these lecturers have joined the profession, may be five to ten years ago by passing their graduation and post graduation in annual system, and this group cannot compete with the students of semester system having secured high score (percentage) for its obvious reasons. Hence to make the Justice to this group, Shree Jnaneshwari College requests the Govt of Karnataka to sanction additional seats under management quota for Inservice Lecturers working at the private institutions. Such type of provision i.e. Inservice Quota over and above the regular intake was prevailing about ten years ago to meet out similar conditions. Therefore we request to extend similar provisions for the Admission to B.Ed Course for those lecturers working at the private institutions, on par with the lecturer working under Government Colleges and thus equal justice has been provided for all the Inservice Candidates.
