Shooters bag 12th gold for India at Commonwealth Games

NEW DELHI: Shooters Vijay Kumar and Gurpreet Singh bagged the first gold of the day and women won the first ever archery medal at theCommonwealth Games on Thursday, taking India's gold tally to 12 and overall medal kitty to 25.

Vijay Kumar and Gurpeet Singh's gold came in the 25-metre pistol pairs event on the fourth day of the competitions. Kumar scored 587 and Singh 575 for a total of 1162 and take home the gold.
