Shirali: Panchayath asks contractor to complete bridge construction of Pallihole in ten days

Shirali 03 July 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) A special meeting was called on Monday at Shirali Panchayat office for the reconstruction of the Bridge at Pallihole of Shirali.

The Meeting chaired by Panchayat President Venkatesh Naik urged for the reconstruction of the bridge within ten days to the assistant engineer of KRDCL and other contractors of the bridge in the meeting.

Najeeb Abdul Kadheer, a local present in the meeting said "demolishing the existing bridge without constructing a proper alternative bridge has led the women, student and other to face lots of problems."

Replying to his opinion the contractor of the company Ravikiran D'costa while admitting their mistake of demolishing the original bridge without arranging an alternative for the residents said "Due to some political pressures we had to start the construction of bridge during monsoon. We admit our mistake of not making a proper alternative before starting the renovation works." He added.

He then said "We are planning to make a 'C' angular Iron bridge just like a railway flyover while the blue prints are getting prepared. We are working on the project and soon will complete the renovation work."

On this occasion Ullas Shanbagh, PDO Uday, Ganapati Naik, Kumar Naik, Nagappa Naik, Baskar Moger and others were present duing the meeting.
