Shams School Celebrates Annual Day; Syed Safiullah awarded ‘Najm-e-Ikhwan’

shams-festival-02 Bhatkal – 26 Dec 2012: Shams English Medium School celebrated its Annual program today morning at their campus located off Jamia Abad Road. The program was graced by renowned NASA scientist Dr Rank Nazeer Ahmed and the Chief Editor of ‘Karnataka Muslim’ newspaper, Mr Syed Tanveer Ahmed. On this occasion a felicitation program for students was held in which School’s best students in different categories have been flicitated. The most coveted Najm-e-Ikhwan Award (Gold Medal) was given to Syed Safiullah Barmawar and Mohammed Pillur received Silver Medal for their academic excellence. Mohammed Nasif Siddiqa was felicitated for participating in the National level sports competition. Speaking on this occasion, Dr Rank Nazeer highlighted the importance of education and said, ‘Knowledge is like a light, the community which excels in the field of education becomes successful and the community which lags behind in education live like slaves.’ He pointed out four things, Spirituality, Ethics, Education and Co-operation as the success mantra for all. Community leader, Mr Syed Khalil Rahman and Syed Tanveer Ahmed also interacted with the students and parents and gave useful tips to them.
