SGS College, Bhatkal and JG College, Hubbali emerge winners at KUD Badminton tournament held at Anjuman

Bhatkal 21 December 2019: Anjuman Arts, Science, Commerce College and PG Centre, Bhatkal organized Karnatak University Inter-collegiate Single Zone Badminton tournament 2018-19 where Shri Guru Sudhindra Degree college of Bhatkal and JG college of Commerce, Hubballi emerged as champions in men and women categories respectively.

The Inaugural ceremony was held at College Function Hall on 19th February 2019 at 10.00 am which was presided by Janab Damudi Abdur Rahim,  Vice-President –I, AHM, Bhatkal. Dr. Khalid Khan, Director of Physical Education, Karnataka State Law University Hubballi was the Chief Guest, Janab Askeri Mohammed Yaseen was the Guest of Honor, While Janab Ismail Siddique, General Secretary, AHM, Janab Mohammed Ishaq Shabandri, Additional General secretary, AHM, Janab Mohammad Mohsin Shabandri, Secretary, College Board  graced the Inaugural Ceremony.

 

Several teams of various district including Hubballi, Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri and Karwar had taken part in the tournament.

In Men’s category, Shri Guru Sudhindra Degree College of Bhatkal bagged the 1st place while SDM college, Honnavar and CSI college of Commerce, Dharwad stood at second and third place respectively.

In women’s category, JG College of Commerce, Hubballi bagged 1st place while SDM College, Honnavar and Anjuman Arts, Science, Commerce College and PG Centre, Bhatkal secured the second and third palce respectively.

During the valedatory function, the Principal Prof. M.K. Sheikh delivered Welcome Address. The certificates and medals were distributed to the winners. Vice President of Anjuman Hami-e-Janab Damudi Abdur Raheem, Istihaque Ruknuddin, Srinavas Padiyar, College Secretary Mohsin Shabandri, Physical Director K Kalemullah, Organizing Secretary Prof M M Jamadar and others were present during the occasion
