Senior journalist M.R. Manvi chosen for Bardoli Award

Ankola:  05 September,25 (Bhatkallys News Bureau)The Ankola Taluk Working Journalists’ Association has announced that senior journalist M.R. Manvi from Bhatkal has been selected for the prestigious Bardoli Award, which is presented annually as part of Press Day celebrations.

 

The decision was taken at a meeting of the association, according to a press release issued by its president, Arun Shetty. The award will be formally conferred on Monday, September 8, during the Press Day programme to be held at Gokhale Centenary Degree College.

 

The meeting was attended by honorary president Raghu Kakarmat, vice-president Nagaraj Manjuguni, and members K. Ramesh, Vasudev Gunga, Subhash Karebail, Akshay Naik, Nagaraj Jambalekar, Dinakar Naik, Mohan Durgekar, among others.

 

Originally from Manvi taluk in Raichur district, M.R. Manvi has been active in journalism, education, and social work in Bhatkal, Uttara Kannada district, for the past three decades. He currently serves as president of the Bhatkal Taluk Working Journalists’ Association, secretary of the Bhatkal Sadbhavana Manch, and Karnataka state president of the All India Ideal Teachers’ Association.
