Security beefed up in Udupi ahead of President Kovind's visit on December 27

The police has beefed up security ahead of the President of India Ramnath Kovind’s visit to Sri Krishna temple in Udupi on December 27.
He will take part in the felicitation programme of Pejawar Mutt Pontiff Vishvesha Teertha Swami, organised on the occasion of 80th anniversary of Sanyasa Deeksha of the seer, to be held in front of Pejawar Mutt.
The President will arrive at the Inspection Bungalow on December 27.
Later, he will visit Sri Krishna Mutt and temple. All shops from SMSP Sanskrit College to Car Street and around Car Street will remain closed from 6 am to 4 pm on that day.
General public and devotees will not be allowed to enter the Sri Krishna Mutt and Temple from 6 am to 3 pm.
