Security alert in Bhatkal ahead of upcoming events

Bhatkal - 10 March 2012: Police department is seen on high alert as the festive season is approaching in the town. To maintain law and order and to keep anti-social elements at bay, police department has increased patrolling and keeping strict vigil in the town. It may be noted that, after the festival of Holi, series of important events are coming in the town including Jamia Islamia Bhatkal's Education Convention and Rath Utsava. On this occasion, Bhatkal DySP, Mr M Narayan interacted with the police officials and directed them to discharge their duty with honesty and keep check on anti-social elements who always try to disrupt peace and harmony.
On this occasion, all police personnel tied black ribbon on their arms to protest against attack on journalist and police by the errant lawyers in Bangalore.
Bhatkal DySP, Mr M Narayan, CPI Mr Shivaprakash, Mr PSI Mr Suresh Naik, Crime PSI Mr Prakash Devadiga, Mr Prakash Benet and others were present in the program.
