Secretary of State Minority Department visits Bhatkal

Bhatkal - 10 Dec 2011: Secretary of Karnataka Minority Department, Mr Abdul Bari yesterday visited Bhatkal and conducted a meeting with the people of Bhatkal here at Tanzeem Hall. He provided details of various govt schemes available for minorities. He said that the govt is providing many schemes for minorities but because of lack of awareness, people are not utilizing those schemes properly. He said, recently govt has approved 68 lakh rupees for minorities of Uttara Kannada district but so far only 20 lakh rupees have been utlilized. He said that on 12th of every month an officer from Karwar visits Bhatkal Panchyat office, those who want information about these schemes can meet him and utilize this opportunity.
