Bhatkal: Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) organized a get-together function on Tuesday evening here at Mango Farm in which SDPI's state president Dr. Mehboob Audh Shareef shed light on the history of parties and governments that ruled India post-independence.
Speaking at the occasion, Dr. Mehboob said that all the political parties and governments that have ruled India have given little to Muslims and the living proof of this is that even after 69 years of India's Independence, Muslims still are struggling for their rights.
The need of the hour is to enter into politics and to fight for the rights of the weak and the economically deprived people in the society, he added.
On this occasion, SDPI state secretary Alphonso Franco also shed light on the activities of SDPI. A large number of SDPI activists were present at the occasion.
It may be noted that new office of Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) was inaugurated at Kashimji Complex in Bombay Bazar, Main Road Bhatkal on Tuesday 24th November by President of SDPI (Karnataka Unit) Dr. Mehboob Audh Shareef.
