Schools, government departments and colleges celebrate Independence day in Bhatkal

Bhatkal 15 August 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) As India celebrated its 72nd Independence day on August 15, 2018, patriotic fervours were also seen among schools and institutions of Bhatkal where the national flag were unfurled. The administration also organized unfurling of the national flag and parade by students and police department, where Assistant Commissioner of Bhatkal Sajid Ahmed Mulla unfurled the flag, followed by parade march by students of various schools. Addressing the gathering Sajid Ahmed Mulla congratulated everyone on the Independence day and spoke about how the freedom fighters laid down their lives to secure independence for us. Several institutions of Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen Bhatkal also organized the flag hoisting ceremony. Mrs. Muzna Waseem hoisted the national flag at Anjuman Noor Primary School followed by students presenting speeches, patriotic songs, Asif Damudi hoisted the tri-color at Anjuman English Medium Primary School while in IAUHS BMJD executive member Yasir Kashimji unfurled the flag, similar events and ceremonies were also organized at ABHS, Anjuman PU College, Anjuman Degree college, AITM and other sister institutions of Anjuman Hami-e-Muslimeen Bhatkal. Idara Tarbiat-e-Ikhwan’s New Shams School also organized flag hoisting ceremony at its campus wherein newly elected president of the organization Ismail Mohtesham hoisted the flag in the presence of several of its members and members of Alumni association. Organizations and institutions like Ali Public School, Jamia Islamia Bhatkal, Town Municipal Council, Taluka Panchayath, Majlis-e-Islah wa Tanzeem Bhatkal and other organized similar events and ceremonies to mark the Independence day.
