School van collides with Auto at Shamsuddin road

Bhatkal - School van belonging to Anjuman collided head on with Auto Rickshaw here at Shamsuddin road, Nawayath colony yesterday (29th Oct). Auto driver received minor injuries as a result of this accident. A case has been registered at Bhatkal police station.

It may be interesting to note that, due to bad condition of NH 17, majority of vehicles use Shamsuddin road as this is free from speed-breakers and other obstacles. The other similar parallel roads at Nawayath colony such as Ameenuddin road and Tanzeem road were rarely used as there are speed-breakers at several places on these roads. Due to this, accidents near Rabita Complex junction are the common scene. If immediate steps are not taken to check the speed of the vehicles at Shamsuddin road, more accidents are likely to occur in near future.
