'Save the constitution' rally reaches Bhatkal; receives grand welcome by local organisations

Bhatkal 24 October 2018: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) 'Save the constitution' rally by National Alliance for People's Movement (NAPM) that set sail on October 2, from Dandi, Gujrat for a country wide rally till December 10, reached Bhatkal on October 24, afternoon.
A formal program at Shamsuddin Circle was organised where several speakers from NAPM and member of other organisations who are part of the rally spoke about the current scenario of the country and how the constitution of India is in danger under the BJP led NDA's central government.
Members of several secular organisations like APCR, SIO, JD(s), SDPI, WPI and other joined in together to welcome the rally at Shamsuddin circle before the program.

Coordinator of the rally, Himshi Singh, introduced the members of the rally to the attendees, before them strongly pitching their ideas on how the Constitution of the largest democracy of the world has been put into danger with irresponsible governance by the BJP with Hindutva on top of their agenda.
Sister Silva, spoke about how Dalits, Muslims and other minority communities are being suppressed across the country and are being killed and lynched by the mobs on issues like cow protection among others.
JD(s) Bhatkal President Inayathullah Shabandri lauded the efforts of NAPM in organising such a rally and welcomed them with 'open hearts' while also offering the party's solidarity to the rally.
Bhatkal SIO Secretary Sanaullah Asadi, raised issues like Najeeb disappearance and Rohit Vemula's case to display the SIO's dissent to the current governance at the centre.
Himshi Singh while replying to a suggestion from SDPI Bhatkal President Taufiq Byari for concluding the rally on December 6 instead of December 10 to mark the day of Babri masjid demolition citing it 'Murder of the democracy' added "December 10 in Human rights day and hence we planned to conclude the rally, but however we will make sure we raise the Babri issue in whichever state we are in on December 10".

The rally then headed to Sagar from Bhatkal, after which the rally will make its way to Delhi after being to several states of the country.
"We will organise a huge protest rally in Delhi on December 10, we also request and invite you to join us their to pitch our voices and to make sure our beloved constitution remains intact" added another NAPM official.
Several slogans in Hindi and regional Kannada language were raise at the program in support of saving the constituion.
WPI Bhatkal Vice President Ibrahim Shaikh, SDPI Bhatkal President Taufiq Byari and other also addressed the program along with members of the rally.
