The Arab billionaires list issued by Arabianbusiness.com on Sunday has 23 Saudi entries, in which the UAE and Kuwait each has three and Bahrain has one. However, the list does not have any Qatari or Omani names, Gulf News reports. According to the report, Prince Al Waleed Bin Talal Al Saud of Saudi Arabia topped the list with 25.9 billion dollars, followed by the Olayan Family, also from Saudi Arabia, with 12.9 billion dollars, and Mohammad Al Amoudi, from Saudi Arabia, with 11.50 billion dollars. The Sawiris family, a scion of Egypt’s most successful business house, is fourth with 11.20 billion dollars, mainly thanks to success in the technology and construction sectors, the report said. Al Kharafi family is the top Kuwaiti entry on the list with 8.60 billion dollars, while Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair was the leading Emirati with 6.40 billion dollars and the Kanoo Family was the only Bahraini name with 6.25 billion dollars, the report said. The combined largesse of the planet’s wealthiest Arabs amounted to 257.21 billion dollars in 2012, slightly above the 256.67 billion dollars in 2011, the report added. (ANI)
