Saudi Arabia detains several people for various offences including labour violations

Riyadh: Inspectors of Saudi Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs along with security forces in a joint operation detained several persons for committing various offences including labour violations taking the total number of arrests to 119,850. According to the report published in Arab News, these arrests were made under the campaign “A Nation Without a Violator”, which was launched earlier this year. Out of 119850, 67760 were arrested for violations of residency regulations, 19709 for border security violations, 30956 for labour violations and 1425 for attempting border infiltration. According to ministry, inspectors found 438 violations in Asir region, 104 violators in Riyadh region, 161 in Alkhobar. The joint team found 31 violations in Madinah and sealed 45 commercial shops in the city. It may be mentioned that joint inspection campaigns were also launched last week in which 296 violators related to nationalization, labour and residency regulations were detected in Makkah. On the other hand, ministry urged Saudi citizens and residents to report about violators through website rasd.ma3an.gov.sa or through customer service number (19911). Siasat.com
