Santa market re-opens after seven months in Bhatkal

Bhatkal: 11 October 2020 (Bhatkallys News Bureau) The Bhatkal Sunta Market (Sunday Market), which was closed for seven months due to Corona and lockdown, was reopened for public on Sunday but vegetables and fruits vendors were seen complaining due to lack of customers. On this occasion, the Bhatkal Municipal Chief along with his staff were present on the spot to prevent Corona infection and send back those who did not wear masks. While the traders said that there was fear of Corona among the people due to lack of customers, they also said that most of the people of Bhatkal have not received any information in this regard due to which the sale of commodities is not as usual. He hoped that in the next one or two weeks, the Sunday market would return to its former glory.
