Salam Murder case solved; all 4 accused arrested

Bhatkal / Kumta - 20 Sep 2011: Uttara Kannada police achieved major success by solving the mysterious death of Abdul Salam (Medical) in a record time and arresting all four accused involved in this brutal murder . The accused were identified as Tengingundi's Pundalik Naik (25), Jagadish Moger (26) from Tengingundi, Mastappa Devappa Naik (27) and Krishna Gudihittal (32). All four were produced before Kumta court and 3 of them were sent to Karwar Jail while Murder mastermind Pundalik Naik's judicial remand is extended till 20th September.
According to the sources, Pundalik Naik and Jagadish Moger were directly involved in this murder while Mastappa and Krinsha assisted them in carrying out this murder. Police had recovered missing amount which was drawn by Medical Salam just one day before his murder, knife, nylon rope, hand gloves, wrist watch and mobile phone. However the file which allegedly contains financial documents is still missing.
According to the sources, all four persons were involved in the murder planning, which was made at Murdeshwar Hotel. Later as per their plan they convinced Medical Salam for a Sirsi trip and while they were en-route to Sirsi they offered cold drink to Medical Salam mixed with drugs and when he lost his consciousness, Mr Jagadish Moger strangulated Medical Salam's neck with nylon rope and later the dead body was thrown out in the forest.
Western Range DGP, Mr Alok Mohan congratulated police team for solving the case in a record time and announced reward for them.
