Union Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda has lashed out at Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, saying that the latter should work as the Chief Minister of the State and not as a Congress functionary. Speaking to reporters in Tumakuru on Saturday, Mr.Sadananda Gowda said that though there was turbulence in Dakshina Kannada district, the Chief Minister who holds the Home portfolio has not convened a review meeting to discuss the issue of alleged killing of RSS volunteer Sharat Madivala. But he had ‘ousted’ G. Parameshwara from the Home Minister’s post and criticised him for being a silent spectator when people were being killed in the State. Mr.Sadananda Gowda blamed Ministers Ramanath Rai and U.T. Khader for ‘vitiating the situation in DAkshina Kannada district. He alleged that the two Ministers, instead of working for the people, were instigating communal violence.
