Rs 116.9 crore passed for Uttar Kannada district's Highway repair work

Karwar - 26 Nov 2011: District in-charge minister and Education minister of Karnataka, Mr Vishveswar Hegde Kageri announced that the Govt has passed 116.9 crore rupees for district's highway repair work. He was speaking to the officials at a KDP meeting in Karwar. He said that a concrete road will be laid in Ghat section and for this purpose additional 25 crore rupees will be allocated. Rs 18 crore have been allocated for the road between Bhatkal, Honnavar, Gerusoppa and Mavingundi and a flyover will be constructed on SH-63 near Yellapur. Mr Kageri said that, this is the first time Govt has allocated such a huge fund for road repair work in the district.
