Rs 1 Million Essay Contest on Prophet Muhammad (S)

Bhatkal – Moulana Abul Hasan Ali Nadvi Islamic Academy Bhatkal (Karnataka) in association with Madhyama Kendra Mangalore has recently announced an International Essay Contest for Non-Muslims on popular social media website, Facebook on the topic ‘LET US KNOW THIS MAN PROPHET MUHAMMAD (S) - THE MESSENGER OF PEACE’. This contest is exclusively for non-Muslims and the prime objective of this contest is to spread teachings of Prophet Muhammad (S) to every nuke and corners of the world.
The first 3 winner of this unique contest will receive a cash prize of Rs.5,00,000 lakhs (US $ 10,000), Rs.3,00,000 lakhs (US $ 6,000) and Rs.2,00,000 (US $ 4,000) respectively.
Apart from this, there are hundreds of other prizes to be won under various sub categories. Prizes will be distributed in a specially convened International Conference.
All non-Muslim brothers and sisters from all over the world can participate in this contest. The essay must have at-least 10 pages written preferably in English, however the Indian participants are allowed to write their essays in their regional languages including Hindi, Kannada, Bengali, Tamil, Marathi, Telugu, Malayalam, Panjabi, and Assami.
The organizers of this competition have requested all the readers to promote this contest among non-Muslims as much as possible. The readers can send the following message in the form of SMS.

Last date for registration is 15th March 2013 and the last date to receive entries is 15th April 2013.
Rules and Guidelines for Participation in the Essay Contest
Eligibility: This contest is exclusively for Non-Muslims from any part of the world.
Scope of the Essay: The essay ‘LET US KNOW THIS MAN’ must cover most of the following dimensions of the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammed (S):
- His teachings on Peace, Unity of God, Unity of Mankind, Human Relations and Universal Brotherhood
- His success in liberating the society from evils
- His attitude towards his opponents, people of other faiths and Prisoners Of War (POW)

- Please carefully note the dates for enrollment and the final date for submission of the Essays.
- Preferably, the essays must be written in English. However, Indians may write their essays in Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, Bengali, Punjabi and Assamese language as well.
- The essays may be submitted online or in the form of hard copy.
- Only original essays will be considered for the competition. No part of it should have been published earlier nor should it be under consideration for publication or a contest elsewhere. Any form of plagiarism will result in is disqualification of the entry.
- Only one essay per participant is permitted.
- Length of the essay: The essay shall be not less than 3000 words or 10 A4 size pages
- Essays must have a cover page containing the name and contact details of the participant, The words “Essay Competition” must be clearly written on the top of the external cover /envelope. Online email submission should be in MS WORD attachment, clearly mentioning the subject.
- First prize : Indian Rupees 500,000 (US $10,000)
- Second prize : Indian Rupees 300,000 (US $6,000)
- Third prize : Indian Rupees 200,000 (US $4,000)
- Special prizes for 200 select entries.
