Royal Cup - 2012 Cricket Tournament Inaugurated with a colorful ceremony

Bhatkal - 22 Apr 2012: Royal Cup - 2012 cricket tournament inaugurated with a spectacular opening ceremony in which all participating teams held a rally from Royal Sports Center office near Chowk Bazar to the venue of the tournament, Al-Hilal Mountain Ground, Magdoom Colony, Bhatkal.

It may be interesting to note that, Royal Sports Center organizes this tournament once in every four years and it is played like Cricket World Cup.

On this occasion chief guest of the function, KPCC member Mr Prashant Deshpande congratulated Royal for organizing such a wonderful tournament. He said that he will be happy to see someone among you playing for KPL and India team.

Mr Jayaraj Mathur, KPL coach in his address said, 'There is a good scope for fast bowlers in KPL. It is very difficult to find good fast bowlers. If anybody among you possess that skills then please contact me'. Referring to former India fast bowler Mr Javagal Shrinath he said, 'Mr Shrinath has expressed his desire to include fast bowlers in KPL from coastal districts. So it is a good opportunity for you to prove yourself.

On this occasion, KPCC member Mr Prashanth Deshpande, Bhatkal MLA Mr J D Naik, KPL coach Mr S Jayaraj Mathur, Mr Satish K Sail, TMC President Mr Inayatullah Shabandri, Mr Parvez Kasimji, Moulana Ansar Madani, Moulana Shuaib Ikkery, Mr Abdullah Lanka and others were present on the dais.

The program was started with the recitation of holy Quran followed by Royal Sports Anthem. The ceremony was attended by all 29 teams from Bhatkal, Murdeshwar and Manki.

The first match will be played between Al-Hilal and Assadullah and the second match between NSA Manki and ANFA.
