Rotary Club Bhatkal organizes 'Spell Bee' competition

Bhatkal - 18 Nov 2011: Bhatkal Rotary Club in association with Shams English Medium High School organized a 'Spelling Bee' competition here at Shams English Medium High School located at Jamia Abad Road.

Spelling Bee, is a competition where contestants, usually children, are asked to spell English words.

Total seven schools from Bhatkal including Islamia Anglo High School, Shams School, Naunihal, Vidyanjali, Vidyabharati, Anand Ashram Convent and New English School have participated in the competition which was anchored by Dr Gorsh.

Anand Ashram Convent won the competition while Shams School secured second spot. Winners received Rolling Shield and other gifts.

President Rotary Club Bhatkal - Mr Jalaluddin Kasarkod, Nazeer Kasimji, Mr Ansar - Owner Golden Jewellers, Shafi Shaikh - Principal Shams School, Moulana Azeezur Rahman Nadvi and Mr Shakir were among the guests present on the stage.
