Rock with Shivling handed over to ASI department

Bhatkal - 17 Feb 2011: The black rock with Shivling which recently became the topic of discussion in the town was finally handed over to the Department of Archaeological Survey of India. With the intervention of Bhatkal Assistant Commissioner Dr Anuradha and senior police officials this matters was resolved without creating much complexity. It may be noted that some anti social elements were trying to give communal colour to this episode but they failed in their ambitions.
