Road accident on Bhatkal NH-17; 2 injured

Bhatkal - 15 Oct 2011: 2 persons injured when the bike they were riding collided with a Maruti Omni here at NH-17 near Anfal Super Market. The injured have been identified as Ibrahim Farooq and Veerendra Kalpi (35) of Talgod.

According to the sources, Maruti Omni was heading towards Kundapur while the bike was coming from opposite direction. The seriously injured Veerendra Kalpi was rushed to Manipal Hospital after getting first aid at Bhatkal Govt Hospital.

A case has been registered in Bhatkal police station and the investigation is on.
