Road accident near Venkatapur Bridge; drivers injured

Bhatkal - Two Lorries coming from opposite direction collided head-on near Venkatapur Bridge at NH 17 yesterday night leaving both drivers injured. As a result of this accident, normal flow of traffic on the highway was affected for some time. According to the sources, a loaded Lorry bearing a registration number MH-43-E9169 which is on its way to Maharashra from Mangalore collided with another Lorry bearing registration number MH-11-M4727 coming from opposite direction. The impact of the accident was so heavy that front portion of both the vehicles were damaged and both drivers were injured and taken to local Hospital. A case has been registered in the Bhatkal police station.
