Road accident near Venkatapur Bridge; 1 killed

Bhatkal - The driver of a lorry succumbed to injuries in the hospital and died after he lost control over his vehicle and fell down into a gorge. The accident took place at around mid-night infront of Canara Bank near Venkatapur Bridge when the driver lost control of his vehicle and went off the road. The deceased has been identified as Balu Dadadargadi (55).

According to the sources, the lorry was loaded with Wood and heading towards Maharashtra. A case has been registered in the Bhatkal Rural Police Station and the investigation is on.
