Road accident near Shirali NH 17; 1 killed

Bhatkal - A bike rider Abdul Razzaq (23) died on the spot and pillion rider was seriously injured when their bike lost control and a car coming from opposite direction hit the bike. The accident took place in the evening near Sharadaholle, NH 17 Shirali.

According to the sources, both of them were boat workers working on boat named 'Darya Daulat'. They were returning to their home town Kumta from Bhatkal when the tragedy took place. The dead body was handed over to their relatives after conducting post-mortem at Govt Hospital and the burial took place at around 2:30 am in Kumta. A case has been registered in the Bhatkal Rural Police Station and a car driver was arrested.
