RNS Polytechnic organizes Blood Donation Camp

Murdeshwar - 16 Feb 2011: RNS Polytechnic Murdeshwar recently organized a Blood Donation Camp here at College premises. The event was co-sponsored by Society Development & Planning Govt of India, Konkani Kharvi Sangha Bhatkal and Lions Club Murdeshwar.

In his inaugural speech Bhatkal DySP Mr M Narayan praised the efforts of youths who voluntarily participated in the event. Chief guest Dr Seema from KMC Manipal offered all blood donors a certificate and medical assistance upto 10,000 rupees from KMC. The program was presided over by Mr M V Hegde, Principal RNS Polytechnic, Murdeshwar. Lions Club secretary Philip Almeda and Ramesh Kharvi also interacted with the audience. According to the sources around 36 liters of blood have been collected in this drive and it is donated to KMC Hospital.
