Rithesh Bhatkal sold for 3.5 lakh at Karnataka Premiere League auction, Manish Pandey gets 2 lakh

Rithesh Bhatkal, who plays for Bhatkal’s Asadullah Cricket Club on Saturday was bagged by Belagavi Panthers for the upcoming Karnataka Premiere League in auctions that were held at Taj Westland Hotel in Bengaluru.
Rithesh remained the joint highest paid player of his with 3.5 lakh rupees’ bid despite having international player like Manish Pandey in his team who got a bid of 2 lakh rupees by the franchise.
Ristesh is a bowling all-rounder and is considered by many as one of the finest player of Bhatkal. He was earlier selected in Karnataka team’s squad for the Vijay Hazare Trophy but did not feature in the playing XI during the tournament.
The move of bidding only 2 lakh for star player like Manish Pandey also comes as there doubts about his availability hence the other teams were reluctant to the bid for the right handed batsman who has played 23 ODIs and 28 T20Is for India.
The eight edition of the KPL will begin in late August and the final match will be played on September 11. The matches will be played in Bengaluru, Hubli and Mysuru.
