January 04, 2016 | Rizwan Gangavaly | Bhatkallys News Bhatkal/Murudeshwar: In a bid to demand sacking of Bhatkal Circle Inspector, members of right-wing organizations today staged a protest in front of police station and called for a bandh in Murudeshwar. The bandh however remained largely ineffective as barring 3-4 shops, the entire market was completely open. On this occasion, the protesters demanded release of some of their members who were arrested by police. The protesters also handed over a memorandum to ASP demanding action against some police officials for carrying out baton charge on some of their members on 25th December after they (right-wing organization's members) allegedly man-handled female police officers at Murudeshwar police station. - ARF
