Revenue officials seize 31.27 quintals rice of Anna Bhagya Scheme illegally stored in a house in Bhatkal

Bhatkal 29 April 2019:(Bhatkallys News Bureau) The revenue officials on Sunday seized about 31.27 quintals of rice that was stored illegally in a house belonging to Muhammed Yusuf here at Ganesh Nagar in Yelavadi Gram Panchayat limits of Bhatkal Taluka. Acting on the complaint received from the public, the officials on Sunday raided the house and seized a vehicle loaded with rice bags ready for carrying it to other place. The driver and the owner of the house are currently absconding, and the seized rice is suspected to have been received for 'Anna Bhagya' scheme. Food inspector Praveen, Revenue officials including Maytri and Salman were present during the raid. (Bhatkallys News Bureau)
