Revenue official caught red-handed while accepting bribe at Kumta

Kumta 2 February 2019: (Bhatkallys News Bureau)  The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Friday raided the Kumta Tahsildar's office and nabbed one of the staff of revenue department red-handed while he was accepting bribe in the office. The accused has been identified as Suresh Vakunda. According to the reports, Girish Bhandari, whose property matter was pending at the revenue department, was being asked for bribe by Suresh for several months now. Girish later approached the ACB and filed a complaint against Suresh, followed by the raid on Friday. Suresh was later presented before the district magistrate at Karwar district court. ACB Inspector Ramesh, Rajesh Naik, Shiva, Krishna, Gajendra, Mehabob Ali, Manjunath and others were part of the operation. (Bhatkallys News Bureau)
