Residents of Gousia street submits Memorandum to TMC Chief officer after drainage water starts flowing with Sharabi river

Bhatkal 8 February 2019: (Bhatkallys News Bureau) Residents of Bhatkal Gousia street, on Thursday, submitted a memorandum to Bhatkal Town Municipal Council (TMC) Chief Officer, after the drainage pump in their locality stopped working as a result of which the drainage water started flowing into the Sharabi River, here in Bhatkal.
According to the residents, the drainage pump stopped working about three days back, and yet no repair work was initiated as yet.
“The ignorance of officials has led to contamination of local drinking water wells” locals alleged.
Threatening of further protests if actions are not initiated to immediately resolve the issue, he residents submitted a memorandum to the chief officer on Thursday.
Tanzeem Vice-President Inayatullah Shabandari, locals of Gousiya street Mohammed Ali Siddibapa, Mowla Shafeer, Aslam Pastare, Javeed, and others were present while submitting the memorandum.
