May 02, 2015 | Rizwan Gangavaly | Bhatkallys News Bhatkal: "Today, everywhere talks are delivered on peaceful environment and reformation of society but until the politics of caste and discrimination exists within us it is not possible to bring change in the society", said Shree Maruti Guruji (Bhangar Makki, Ger Soupa) speaking as the chief guest at Quran Pravachan program organized on Saturday evening by Jamaat-e-Islami Hind’s Bhatkal unit at Chabutar Khana in Bhatkal. The whole world has only religion and only one God, but we have split into several religions because of differing ways of thinking, he added. In his key speech, Mohammad Kunhi (Manager - Shanti Prakashna) said that Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) is organizing Quran Pravachan programs across the nation to spread the universal message of Islam to non-Muslims and to expel doubts amongst them concerning Islam and Quran. The message of Islam is not just for the Muslims but for the entire mankind hence JIH is organizing such programs across the nation, he added. Today people are distancing themselves from us because we have failed to implement the humanitarian teachings of Islam as taught by Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of almight Allaah be upon him), he opined. The program ended with vote of thanks by Moulvi Aoun Ruknuddin. - ARF
