Ramadan Mubarak: Holy month of Ramadan begins in Bhatkal

Bhatkal - 01 August 2011: Bhatkal Qazis declared the beginning of holy month of Ramadan after receiving reports of crescent moon from Honnavar and Shirur. However, in Bhatkal there were no reports of moon sighting from any place as it was raining in the evening.

According to the sources, in Chennai and Bangalore also Ramadan is declared.
