Ram Sene holds protest by blocking the road

Bhatkal - 03 June 2011: Bhatkal unit of Rama Sene held protest by blocking the road here at Main Road Bhatkal and demanded immediate arrest of murderers of Late Timapa Naik. The road was blocked for about an hour. The protesters were demanding that they will submit their memorandum only to district SP otherwise they will not leave from here. After the assurance from the police they cleared the road temporarily and shifted to near Tahsildar office. But after waiting for long time at 3:00 pm when senior police officials not arrived, they once again blocked the road. Sensing the sensitivity of the situation, Bhatkal DSP Mr M Narayan convinced the protesters and said that, this case is now with him and he will do his best to solve this case. He also said that he is collecting the details from former DSP Mr Alok Kumar about this case. The protest was ended after getting assurances from DSP and submitting the memorandum to DSP and Tahsildar.

On this occasion widow and son of Late Timappa Naik were also present.
