Rally to create awareness against corruption and injustices

Bangalore. Feb. 10, 2013. The Jammat-e-Islami Hind (JIH), Karnataka, had organized an impressive rally to highlight the issues: rise of corruption; arrests of innocent Muslim youth, atrocities on women, communalization of politics, saffronisation of education and various injustices prevailing in the society, here on Feb. 10.
The three kilometer long rally of men, women and children was the part of the JIH three days convention which started on Feb. 8. A tableau depicting police atrocities was the point of attraction. The rally was lead by Ameer JIH, Syed Jalaluddin Umri.
The rally had different contingents of Jamaat’s affiliate organizations like Student Islamic Organization (SIO), Girls Islamic Organization (GIO), Youth Wing, Humanitarian Relief Society (HRS), Majlisul Ulema and Women’s Wing.
Jamaat’s cadre from across the state participated in the rally and people from different regions of the state also displayed their issues on the placards including from the coastal area. The main issue from the coastal areas was extremism by the right-wing organizations.
