Rains in Bhatkal today morning

29th April 2013/ Rizwan Gangavaly / Bhatkallys News Bhatkal: Today morning, it rained in Bhatkal for around one hour. On one end, it gave relief to people from scorching heat but on another end there were reports of five to six accidents till now. In this, a major accident was reported at Venktapur near Chillies restaurant in which a truck while trying to save a bike rider collided with another truck coming from the opposite direction. As a result, front portions of both the trucks were badly damaged but passengers on both the trucks are reported safe. According to sources, a truck driver ran away after the accident but he was caught near Sarpan Katta check post. This case has been registered at Bhatkal rural police station. From among those who have fallen down after their bike skidded is Maulana Abdul Bari Nadvi, Imam and Khatib Jamia Masjid. He was returning back after performing prayers when his bike skidded in front of Vaibhav Hotel and he fell down but he too is safe, all praise be to Allaah.
