Rain hits UAE: Motorists told to drive cautiously

Rain lashed various parts of the country on Monday morning. Residents and motorists have been warned to be attentive and cautious as weather conditions may cause a drop in visibility and roads may become slippery.
Weathermen have forecast a partly cloudy weather today with thunder. Winds will be moderate to fresh especially over the sea.
NCMS bulletin has forecast cloudy weather on Monday morning, with scattered rain, especially over the northern and the eastern areas. Clouds will gradually decrease during the afternoon, but it will become partly cloudy towards the end of the day.
Winds will be moderate to fresh in general on Monday becoming moderate to light by night and on Tuesday. The sea is expected to be rough on Monday and moderate by Tuesday.
Reduced visibility
NCMS has urged motorists to be cautious while on the roads due to reduced visibility on Monday. The department has urged motorists to take extra caution while driving on slippery roads and to avoid flooded areas and wadis.
Clouds will gradually start to accumulate over the islands and the western regions extending to the rest of the country especially over the northern and eastern regions
