Bhatkal: Rabita Society Bhatkal will organize a Hindu-Muslim get-together function on 18th August 2013 at Mango Farm. Only specially invited guests will be allowed to participate in the function. Rabita Society has been organizing such successful programs since the past many years to enforce unity and brotherhood among communities.
It may be noted that Rabita Society was formed in the year 1993 to bring different associations in the Gulf under one platform. Janab SM Syed Khaleel-ur-Rehman was the man behind the conceptualization of Rabita Society and has also played a very important role in the formation of it. Currently, principal office bearers are President Abdullaah Lanka and General Secretary Mohammed Ghouse Khalifa.
Rabita Society carries out different socio-cultural activities including student awards and get-together programs. It also cooperates Bhatkal's socio-political organization Majlis Islah-va-Tanzeem in solving current issues faced by public, supplying water in the summer season and sponsoring needy students for education. Rabita is also playing an active role behind the running of Tanzeem tempo service in Bhatkal.
