Rabita Society Held its Annual Educational Awards ceremony

Bhatkallys News Service/ Rizwan Gangavali Bhatkal, 31 July 2016: Rabita society Bhatkal held its annual educational awards ceremony here on Sunday to felicitate the students who topped different streams annually for the academic year 2015-2016. Chief Guest for the event, Mufti Ibrahim Rizvi, who had come all the way from Sri Lanka to attend the event spoke about the importance of carrying Islamic teachings, and following the lifestyles and practices of Companions of our Prophet, hand in hand with the modern education. He added, going by the teachings of Islam and our prophet one can achieve his desired level of success and his dreams as Islam is the only religion which can guide people successfully on every little aspect of day to day life, and it hasn’t missed out on addressing any issue as a religion. He further had words of appreciation for India as a country, on being able to maintain such an healthy and peaceful affairs despite being one of the most diverse nation of the world. Speaking on the occasion, Gen Secy, Maulana Abul Hasan Islamic academy, Moulana Ilyas Jakti Nadvi, Congratulated all the members o Rabita society for hosting the annual ceremony for so many years and thereby being an inspirational force for the student of the community, he further pressed on an arrangement for Counseling for the student by the organization so as to inspire our student to get into fields like Journalism, IAS, IPS, and other civil services, which are the need of the hour professions for Muslim community. He also pointed out that due to lack of Muslim manpower in such fields we as a community are still backward in term of knowing the rights and wrongs of laws, and also we fail to contribute in law making of the country as a community. Mohinudeen Ruknuddin, Gen Secy. Khaleej Council earlier had earlier introduced Rabita Society and its services to the guests. Prominent leader of the community SM Syed Khaleel-ur-Rahman was also felicitated for being awarded a Doctorate Degree in Dubai earlier this year. While the toppers of different streams were awarded the prestigious ‘Rabita Award’, the ‘Rabita Rolling Shield’ was bagged by Islamia Anglo Urdu High school for third consecutive year, and the best teacher Award was bagged by Mohammad Jameel, of Islamia Anglo Urdu High school (IAUHS). A book based on translations of Azkaars, written by Moulana Afzal Nadvi, was also released at the event. Towards the end of the event guest were presented Mementos by Rabita Society as the token of Love. The event was successfully hosted by on-stage efforts of more than one individual. While the recitation of Holy Quran was done by Abrar Motia, Muhammad Imran melodiously sung Na’at. Noufil Damudi sung Tarana-e-Rabita, and Yaseer Kashimji delivered thanksgiving. The Master of Ceremony for the evening was Muaz Shabandri. The list of winners of the awards for the academic year 2015-16 goes as follows. B.Com: Muhammad Shaarif s/o Muhammad Iqbal Qazia 94.46% (Anjuman Arts, Sci, Commerce and PG centre) BCA: Muhammad Raahiq, s/o Syed Hanif Barmawar 87.00% (Anjuman Institue of Management) Jamia Islamia Bhatkal: Muhammad Jafer s/o Muhammad Sadiq Ruknuddin 80.31% Jamia Islamia Bhatkal: Muhammad Aakif, s/o Muhammad Raees Roda Muhammad Jafer s/o Amjad Jafer was also awarded for shining academically outside Bhatkal, who scored 90.89% for Directorate of HSI Examinations Kerala. From the sports Quota, Syed Abdul Badie (Hammer Throw) and Muhammad Rayyan (Poll Vault) were awarded for their performances at University and State level respectively. Rabita-Award-boys-2016-01
