Quran Essay Writing Competition; May 31 last date

Idarah Ulum Al-Qur'an invites students, intellectuals and scholars to a National Level Essay Writing Competition. Successful participants will be entitled to cash awards and certificates.

Group A: Non-Muslim scholars and intellectuals.

Topic: Qur'an For All

1st Prize: 20,000; 2nd Prize: 15000; 3rd Prize: 10,000.

Group B: Students of Madaris, Colleges and Universities.

Topic: Is it necessary to read Qur'an with understanding?

1st Prize: 10,000; 2nd Prize: 8000; 3rd Prize: 6000; 7 Consolation Prizes: 1000.

Terms and Conditions:

  1. Those interested must get themselves registered by writing to the undersigned through letter/email with full details including name, profession, address, e-mail ID and Phone Number. Students need to mention their class and institution.
  2. Last date for the submission of essays is May 31, 2012
  3. The essay may be written in Urdu, Arabic, English or Hindi language.
  4. The essay of Group A should be between 30 to 40 pages of A4 size and should not exceed 20000 words. The essay of Group B should be between 20-30 pages and should not contain more than 15000 words.
  5. The name and address on the cover page should be written in such a way that it could be easily detached. No sign should not be left inside the essay which could reveal the identity of the writer.
  6. The essay should be supported with Quranic Verses and necessary references from well researched books and sources.
