Queen Elizabeth II will pay a four-day visit to Oman, starting November 25, according to a statement issued by Oman's Diwan of the Royal Court here on Saturday.
Muscat: Queen Elizabeth II will pay a four-day visit to Oman, starting November 25, according to a statement issued by Oman's Diwan of the Royal Court here on Saturday.
The statement further said that the visit comes in a bid to foster the historic ties of friendship and cooperation between Oman and the United Kingdom and in response to an invitation from Sultan Qaboos Bin Saeed.
Sultan Qaboos will lead the welcome party for Queen Elizabeth II and her accompanying delegation upon arrival to the Sultanate.
"The visit aims at enhancing the good cooperation march between the Sultanate and the United Kingdom and out of the keenness of the two countries to support this march to achieve more aspirations for the two friendly Omani and British peoples in different fields," stated the statement issued through ONA.
During the visit, the Queen will be accompanied by Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, and an official delegation that also includes William Hague, UK Foreign Secretary.
