Public angry on Aadhar card form issuance, AC calls the card insignificant

22 July 2013 / Rizwan Gangavaly / Bhatkallys News Bhatkal: Even after waiting in the queue for 5 hours in rains outside the Bhatkal post office for Aadhar form, when the public was asked to return back empty-handed, they turned furious. Officials however reached the spot and tried to resolve the situation. According to sources, public stood in the queue outside post office for Aadhar card form since morning for five hours. When they were told that the form will not be issued today, they turned aggressive. On this occasion, Bhatkal AC Manohar reached the spot and tried to resolve the situation. He advised them to not waste their precious time behind Aadhar card and should rather concern themselves on getting NPR cards, issuance of which will begin in Bhatkal soon. He further said that it is important for every Indian to have an NPR card. Just like Voter Id cards have an importance now, going forward, NPR cards will take its place. After listening to the AC, the public calmed down and returned back.
