PSI stabbed to death chasing house burglars in Bengaluru

BENGALURU: A 34 year old Police Sub Inspector attached to the Doddaballapur police was stabbed to death by house burglars. On Friday afternoon, Jagdish along with two other constables had come to Nelamangala town chasing two robbers- a father son duo reportedly identified as Raghu and Krishna. Jagdish, a 2010 officer had caught the two when one of them stabbed him multiple times using a dagger. Jagdish tried to remove his revolver to shoot the thief but the thief managed to make their escape. One of the constables assisting Jagdish too sustained stab injuries in his abdomen area but is now out of danger. Jagdish was 2009 batch officer who was posted in the crime department of Dobbabalapur police station. He was a resident of T Dasarahalli in north-west Benagaluru. He is survived by his parents and wife, whom he married three years ago. Senior officers have reached the spot and massive manhunt has begun for the two men who were killed the officers. Officers said that they have identified the duo and a special teams on the job to catch them.
