Protest over Anant Kumar's hate speech in Shiroor

March 11, 2016 | Correspondent | Bhatkallys News Bhatkal: In an effort to condemn the derogatory statement made by Uttar Kannada's MP Anant Kumar Hegde on Islam and Muslims and demand action against him, Muslims of Shiroor today staged a huge protest rally on Shiroor National Highway demanding his arrest and also handed over an appeal to Tahsildar of Shiroor. Speaking at a media meet in Sirsi last month, Hegde reportedly said that as long as Islam remained, terrorism could not be uprooted in the world. He accused that a section of the media and intellectuals supported terrorism. - ARF
